Hydraulic Oil Cooling
The Thermal Transfer Products Single Set Point Switch is a temperature-actuated electrical switch used to control a cooling fan, alarm, or other device based on fluid temperature. Its super-sensitive probe senses the oil or coolant temperature and, on temperature rise, closes its electrical contacts at a preset set point — switching the fan on for cooling and off again as the fluid cools, without any separate controller.
The sensor is normally open and closes on temperature rise. It’s housed in a rugged 303 stainless steel body rated for operating pressures up to 1,000 PSI, so it can thread directly into a pressurized cooler port or hydraulic line. Contacts are rated 6 amps at 120 VAC and 4 amps at 240 VAC, suitable for switching a fan motor relay or contactor.
The Single Set Point Switch pairs naturally with TTP’s AC-fan-driven coolers (such as the AO, AOC, AOF, and AOVH Series) to provide simple, automatic on/off fan control. TTP Application Engineering can help select the correct set-point temperature for your system.

It’s a temperature-actuated electrical switch from Thermal Transfer Products. When the fluid reaches its set-point temperature, the switch closes its contacts to turn on a cooling fan or other device — giving automatic on/off temperature control without a separate controller.
It’s normally open and closes on temperature rise. Below the set point the circuit is open (fan off); at the set point the contacts close (fan on), then reopen as the fluid cools.
The contacts are rated 6 amps at 120 VAC and 4 amps at 240 VAC — enough to switch a fan motor relay or contactor.
A rugged 303 stainless steel housing rated for operating pressures up to 1,000 PSI, so it can install directly in a pressurized cooler port or hydraulic line.
It’s typically used with TTP’s AC-fan-driven coolers (AO, AOC, AOF, AOVH) for simple automatic fan control.
The Single Set Point Switch is a simple on/off switch at one fixed temperature. The MAGHEX 2 is a programmable controller with selectable set points, LEDs, and finer control for DC fan systems. Choose the switch for basic AC-fan on/off; the MAGHEX 2 for programmable DC-fan control.
