API Heat Transfer offers a wide range of brazed aluminum radiator styles and options. From small individual coolers to large complex engine cooling systems, from heavy duty bar and plate construction to plastic tank radiators, we have the right design for your mobile or industrial application. Our engineering team is continually developing additional fin geometries to improve heat transfer efficiency so we can meet or exceed your expectations.

Brazed Bar and Plate Radiators

Fins are laid between aluminum braze sheets and fitted with header and face bars. The assembled unit is placed into one of our modern brazing furnaces where precise control of time and temperature produces a unified core. Manifolds designed to meet each customer’s particular piping requirements are welded into place to complete the radiator.

Our brazed aluminum tube and header radiators offer a cost effective, lightweight solution for stationary and mobile engine cooling applications. Radiators can be provided as a stand alone component, but most often would be combined with our bar and plate oil coolers and charge air cooler to form a complete engine cooling solution.

The AOL Series utilizes forced ambient air to cool compressor lube oil and is an excellent choice for demanding oil cooler requirements or for converting medium to large volume water cooled compressors to air cooled.  The design features rugged brazed aluminum bar and plate construction with detachable legs for ease of mounting in alternate locations.  This cooler is ideal for rotary screw, compressor lube or gear box oils.  The series includes nine models with oil flow capacities from 15-120 GPM (57-454 LPM) to be used on compressors from 35-400 HP (26.1-298.3 KW).

The rugged Air Belt Guard M Series provides solid performance in a compact size.  No fan motor is required in mounting the unit to a compressor belt guard.  These coolers, built from either round cooper tube and fin or bar and plate brazed aluminum construction, allow the use of free air flow from the belt guard on reciprocating compressors.  Lightweight and easy to install, this series is offered in seven models with capacities from 20-100 SCFM (.57-2.8 KW).

The rugged Air Belt Guard BGA Series provides high performance, high technology in a compact unit.  This heavy duty design features brazed bar and plate aluminum core construction for excellent heat recovery.

The AHP/AHPH Series aftercooler is specifically designed for cooling compressed air.  The rugged, heavy duty design features high performance bar & plate aluminum construction that is optimized for high air flow, low pressure drop, and maximum heat transfer.

AHP Series features durable black powder coating finish and detachable legs for floor or suspension mounting.  Air flow is vertical so hot air can be blown away from any operators.  This compact series includes 9 models with flow capacity from 125 – 4800 SCFM (3.5 – 135.9 SCMM) to be used on compressors from 60 – 700 HP (45 – 520 Kw).

AHPH Series features durable black powder coating finish and are designed for horizontal air flows.  Fixed mounting feet.  This compact series includes 6 models with flow capacity from 30 –2800 SCFM (1 – 80 SCMM) to be used on compressors from 60 – 400 HP (45 – 520 Kw).

UPA and AA are obsolete.
