The Thermal Transfer Products Industrial AOVH Series is a high-performance air-cooled hydraulic oil cooler built with a copper-tube, aluminum-fin core. As the high-capacity version of TTP’s AO Series, it delivers high heat rejection and low pressure drop for high-flow applications, using a double-core, AC-fan-driven design in a compact footprint. Its High-Low Turbulator design is what yields high flow capacity with low flow pressure, making it well suited to demanding, continuous-duty cooling.
The AOVH cools hydraulic oil (and fluids such as glycols) with ambient air, and is widely used on hydraulic power units, injection molding machines, gear drives and gearboxes, machine tools, torque converters, and marine equipment. A high-performance fan and adjustable cabinet louvers let you regulate the direction of heated exhaust air, and the versatile design supports one- or two-pass flow. Two-pass units (the AOVHR configuration) route oil through the core twice for greater heat rejection and add an integral relief bypass valve that protects against high backpressure during cold starts, high-viscosity operation, or pressure spikes.
Maximum operating pressure is 300 PSI with a maximum operating temperature of 400°F. Fan motors are built for fan duty and rated for ambient temperatures up to 104°F, with single- and three-phase options and explosion-proof motors available for hazardous locations. To simplify system integration, the AOVH Series is fully supported with 3D CAD models, downloadable datasheets, and technical documentation, and TTP’s XSelector® sizing program helps optimize model selection.

Hydraulic power units, injection molding machines, gear drives and gearboxes, machine tools, torque converters, marine equipment, and other continuous-duty industrial systems needing substantial cooling.
AOVH is the one-pass configuration for standard duty. AOVHR is the two-pass version — it routes oil through the core twice for greater heat rejection and includes an integral relief bypass valve for system protection. Choose AOVHR for higher thermal loads or added cold-start/backpressure protection.
The High-Low Turbulator design provides high flow capacity while keeping flow-side pressure low — the core reason the AOVH suits high-flow systems where excessive pressure drop can’t be tolerated.

AC fan drive in single- or three-phase, with explosion-proof motors (Class I Group D; Class II Groups F & G) available for hazardous locations.
