The Thermal Transfer Products BPSW Series is a rugged, compact, and cost-effective brazed plate heat exchanger built for oil-to-water cooling in industrial systems. Its 316 stainless steel construction and standard SAE connections make it a highly efficient, low-maintenance choice that stays reliable over long service periods — an optimal heat transfer solution where installation space is limited.
Brazed plate technology packs a large amount of heat transfer surface into a small footprint. High plate-channel turbulence drives efficient heat transfer and lets the BPSW perform effectively even at close approach temperatures, where the oil and water temperatures are near each other and cooling is hardest to achieve. Compact dimensions and multiple mounting options simplify integration into tight equipment layouts.
A wide offering of full-featured standard models is available with short lead times and fast delivery worldwide. Typical brazed plate construction is rated to high working pressures and a broad temperature range, making the series suitable for hydraulic oil cooling, lube oil cooling, and general water-to-water process duty. TTP’s XSelector® sizing program — available online and as a mobile app — helps select the right model for your flow, heat load, and approach temperature.

It’s a brazed plate heat exchanger from Thermal Transfer Products, made of 316 stainless steel, designed primarily for oil-to-water cooling in industrial applications where space is limited.
Thin corrugated stainless plates are brazed together to form many narrow flow channels. Oil and water flow through alternating channels, and the high turbulence across the plates transfers heat very efficiently in a compact package.
Approach temperature is the gap between the two fluids’ temperatures. High plate-channel turbulence lets the BPSW keep transferring heat effectively even when that gap is small — a case where many coolers struggle.
