Heat Exchanger
Hydraulic Oil Cooling
Industrial Applications
Shell & Tube, Steel
The Thermal Transfer Products CA Series is a bare-bundle, fixed-tubesheet shell and tube heat exchanger for water-to-oil cooling of hydraulic systems. Its proven, highly standardized design delivers cost-effective, long-term reliability while still accommodating a wide range of options and multiple material choices for application-specific requirements.
The CA-2000 Series is the largest standard shell and tube heat exchanger in the entire TTP product line. Built with rugged steel construction, it handles very high flow rates and heat-transfer loads at a competitive price, and it can cool oil, water, glycol, and other fluids. It’s offered with 3/8″ or 5/8″ tubes, up to a 10″ shell diameter and 12-foot length, with 150# ANSI/ASME flanged shell connections (metric available), removable end bonnets for servicing, and saddle brackets for mounting. Custom designs, ASME code stamping, and special ASME/TEMA C/CM ratings are available.
For corrosive or marine service, 90/10 copper-nickel tubing and tubesheets, electroless-nickel-plated bonnets, and zinc anodes are available for sea water applications. Maximum working pressure is 150 PSI on both the shell and tube sides, with a maximum operating temperature of 300°F. TTP’s XSelector® sizing program helps select the right model for your flow, heat load, and cooling-water conditions.
