Industrial Applications
Air Cooled, Copper Tube / Aluminum Fin
The Thermal Transfer Products M Series is a rugged, compact belt-guard compressed air aftercooler for reciprocating (piston) compressors. It mounts directly to the compressor’s belt guard and uses the free airflow generated by the belt-driven flywheel to cool the compressed air — so no separate fan motor, electrical connection, or cooling water is required. That makes it one of the simplest, lowest-cost ways to add aftercooling to a belt-driven compressor.
By cooling the hot discharge air, the M Series condenses moisture out of the compressed air stream and lowers downstream temperatures, protecting tools, piping, and dryers. Each cooler is built from either round copper-tube-and-fin or brazed aluminum bar-and-plate construction, and its lightweight design makes for a quick, simple installation on the existing belt guard.
The series is offered in seven models with capacities from 20 to 100 SCFM (0.57–2.83 SCMM), suited to belt-driven piston compressors, reciprocating shop compressors, portable compressors, and smaller industrial air systems. For higher-capacity, heavier-duty belt-guard aftercooling, TTP’s BGA Series is the brazed-aluminum step up.

It’s a compact belt-guard compressed air aftercooler from Thermal Transfer Products that mounts to a reciprocating compressor’s belt guard and cools compressed air using the compressor’s own flywheel airflow.
No. It uses the free airflow from the belt-driven flywheel, so there’s no fan motor to power, no electrical hookup, and no cooling water — which keeps cost, maintenance, and installation simple.
It cools the hot air leaving the compressor, condensing out moisture and lowering discharge temperature to protect downstream tools, piping, dryers, and air quality.
Belt-driven piston and reciprocating compressors — shop compressors, portable compressors, and smaller industrial air systems.
Seven models from 20 to 100 SCFM (0.57–2.83 SCMM), built from either round copper-tube-and-fin or brazed aluminum bar-and-plate construction.
Both are belt-guard aftercoolers that need no fan motor. The M Series is the lighter-duty, lower-capacity option (20–100 SCFM); the BGA is the heavier-duty, higher-performance brazed-aluminum version. Choose the M for smaller belt-driven compressors, the BGA for higher airflow.
