Compressed Air Moisture Separator with Condensate Drain

The Moisture Separator is a compressed-air accessory that removes condensed water and contaminants from the air stream after it leaves an aftercooler. When an aftercooler cools hot compressed air, moisture condenses out; the separator collects that liquid and drains it away, delivering cleaner, drier air and protecting downstream tools, piping, dryers, and processes from water damage and corrosion. It’s the recommended final step in any compressed-air cooling package.

Two models cover different drain needs. One has a built-in automatic float-style drain that discharges collected condensate automatically as it accumulates — ideal for unattended operation. The other has a 1/8″ NPT connection with a manual shut-off valve, for applications where scheduled or manual draining is preferred. Both are built in a rugged cast-zinc housing and equipped with a quick-disconnect bowl for fast, tool-free servicing.

Cooling hot compressed air causes moisture to condense into liquid water. The aftercooler cools the air; the separator captures and removes the resulting condensate. Using them together is what actually gets water out of your air system.
