The Thermal Transfer Products Industrial AO Series is an air-cooled hydraulic oil cooler built with a copper-tube, aluminum-fin core and an AC fan drive. It cools hydraulic oil (and fluids such as glycols) using ambient air, and is ideal for medium flow rates and moderate heat removal in industrial hydraulic systems and hydraulic power units.
The versatile design supports a one- or two-pass configuration, and adjustable cabinet louvers let you regulate the direction of heated exhaust air. An optional internal pressure bypass protects the core during cold starts and pressure spikes. Product options include foot brackets, SAE and metric connections, and a corrosion-resistant marine coating for harsh environments.
The series covers heat rejection from 1 to 36 HP (1.3–48 kW) and oil flow from 2 to 100 GPM (4–220 LPM), with a maximum operating pressure of 300 PSI and maximum operating temperature of 400°F. To simplify system integration, the AO Series is fully supported with 3D CAD models, downloadable technical documentation, and application engineering support. TTP’s XSelector® sizing program — available online and as a mobile app — helps optimize model selection.
