The Thermal Transfer Products Industrial AOF Series is an air-cooled hydraulic oil cooler built with a copper-tube, aluminum-fin core and an AC fan drive, distinguished by a replaceable air-side filter that protects the heat exchanger in adverse environments. In dusty, dirty, or debris-heavy settings, the filter keeps the fins from clogging and preserves cooling performance — making the AOF the filtered version of TTP’s AO Series for the same medium-flow, moderate-heat-removal duty.
Like the AO Series, it cools hydraulic oil (and fluids such as glycols) with ambient air, and offers a versatile one- or two-pass configuration to tune heat transfer and pressure drop. Adjustable cabinet louvers let you regulate the direction of heated exhaust air, and an optional internal pressure bypass protects the core during cold starts and pressure spikes.
The AOF is well suited to hydraulic power units and industrial machinery operating in foundries, mills, quarries, woodworking, agriculture, and other dirty environments where an unfiltered cooler would foul quickly. Available in single- and three-phase motor configurations, it’s backed by downloadable 3D CAD models, technical documentation, and application engineering support. TTP’s XSelector® sizing program — available online and as a mobile app — helps optimize model selection for performance and value.

It’s an industrial air-cooled hydraulic oil cooler from Thermal Transfer Products with a copper-tube/aluminum-fin core, an AC fan drive, and a replaceable air-side filter to protect the core in adverse environments.
They’re mechanically the same cooler for medium flow and moderate heat removal — the AOF adds a replaceable air filter. Choose the AOF when the cooler will run in dusty, dirty, or debris-heavy conditions; choose the AO when the air is clean.
A removable, replaceable filter stops dust and debris from clogging the fins, which would otherwise choke airflow and reduce cooling. In dirty environments it protects performance and extends service intervals.
The core can be plumbed for a single pass or a two-pass flow path, letting you tune heat transfer and pressure drop to the application.
They let you regulate the direction of the heated exhaust air, so you can direct hot discharge away from operators or sensitive equipment.
