Compressed Air Cooling
Industrial Applications
Air Cooled, Brazed Aluminum
The Thermal Transfer Products AHP/AHPH Series is a high-performance air-cooled aftercooler purpose-built for cooling compressed air. Its rugged, heavy-duty bar-and-plate aluminum core is optimized for high airflow, low pressure drop, and maximum heat transfer, and its energy-efficient design also makes it well suited to heat-recovery applications. Both models carry a durable black powder-coat finish and are backed by downloadable 3D CAD models, technical documentation, and application engineering support to simplify OEM integration.
The AHP is the vertical-airflow version, discharging hot air up and away from operators, with detachable legs (shipped unattached) for floor or suspension mounting. It includes nine models with flow capacities from 125 to 4,800 SCFM (3.5–135.9 SCMM), sized for compressors from 60 to 700 HP (45–520 kW).
The AHPH is the horizontal-airflow version with fixed mounting feet, for installations where side-discharge suits the layout better. It includes six models with flow capacities from 30 to 2,800 SCFM (1–80 SCMM), sized for compressors from 60 to 400 HP (45–298 kW). Fan options include electric TEFC and air-motor drives. The AHP/AHPH Series is the current replacement for the obsolete UPA and AA aftercooler lines — crossover information is in the AHP/AHPH brochure. TTP’s XSelector® sizing program helps select the right model for your airflow and compressor.
UPA and AA are obsolete.
For the crossover information, please refer to page 3 in the AHP/AHPH series brochure.

It’s a high-performance air-cooled compressed air aftercooler from Thermal Transfer Products, built on a bar-and-plate aluminum core and designed specifically for cooling the hot air discharged by air compressors.
Airflow direction and mounting. The AHP uses vertical airflow (hot air up and away from operators) with detachable legs for floor or suspension mounting. The AHPH uses horizontal airflow with fixed mounting feet. Choose based on how you need to direct exhaust air and how the unit mounts in your space.
The AHP has nine models, 125–4,800 SCFM (3.5–135.9 SCMM), for compressors from 60–700 HP (45–520 kW). The AHPH has six models, 30–2,800 SCFM (1–80 SCMM), for compressors from 60–400 HP (45–298 kW).
It needs no cooling-water supply — useful where water isn’t available or you want to avoid water and sewer costs. For water-cooled aftercooling, see TTP’s AB Series.
Electric TEFC motors and air-motor drives, depending on the model and application.
Yes. The UPA and AA lines are obsolete, and the AHP/AHPH is the current replacement — crossover/model-conversion information is on page 3 of the AHP/AHPH brochure.
Our 3D Product Configurator will allow you to build up the cooler with specific options that are required for your application, view what you have created in 3D, then download the model directly into your format to complete your modeling project.
