The modulating valves open automatically when temperature increases at the sensing bulb. No external power source is required to actuate the valve. Not to be used for salt water service. All stock valves are supplied with a drilled and tapped internal by-pass in the regulator body. A solid plug is installed in this hole for 100% shut-off. A drilled orifice plug is packed in an envelope with each valve for field installation, if continuous minimum flow is required. These modulating valves regulate the flow of water to the heat exchanger to maintain a desired exiting oil temperature.
The COL Series is an air cooled off-line fluid conditioning system utilizing reliable and high performing screw pump technology for independent cooling and filtering of system oils. Choose the standard brazed aluminum bar and plate core technology or the optional T-BAR™ core for high viscosity fluids. Other options include cartridge style in-line filters and thermostat temperature sensors.
The Industrial AOF Series has the same features as the AO Series, just with an addition a replaceable air filter to protect the heat exchanger in adverse environments.
The AC fan drive and is ideal for medium flow rates and moderate heat removal. This series is available with an optional internal pressure bypass. Cabinet louvers allow the user to regulate the direction of heated exhaust air. This versatile design allows for a one or two pass configuration.
TTP’s XSelector® sizing program can be used to help optimize the sizing of the cooler for better performance and value.
The Industrial AO Series features an AC fan drive and is ideal for medium flow rates and moderate heat removal. This Series is available with an optional internal pressure bypass. Cabinet louvers allow the user to regulate the direction of heated exhaust air. This versatile design allows for a one or two pass configuration.
The UC/UCA/UCV Series features U-tube Heat Exchangers which allow the shell and tube bundle to expand and contract independently with temperature fluctuation. This reduces temperature dependent stresses, so they are ideal in applications with large temperature differentials. These series offer a wide variety of material options for utilizing multiple cooling water requirements for oil or steam applications.
The U-tube bundle allows for the tube bundle to be removed without disturbing unit mounting and shell side connections. This allows for ease of maintenance to clean the unit or replacing the tube bundle with a new one.

UC/USSC Series:
This is the standard version that comes with NPT ports for shell and tube side connections, which are in line with each other on the shell. Available in both Steel and Stainless Steel construction. Some typical examples for UC units include quench oil coolers, liquid to liquid heaters, and barrel oil coolers for plastic extrusion machines.
UCA/USSCA Series:
Same construction as the UC series, but the shell connection are ASME/ANSI Flange and NPT on the tube side. Again, they are in line with each other on the shell.
UCV/USSCV Series:
This series is more suitable for steam applications with the inlet port on top and the outlet port rotated 180° on the bottom of the shell. This allows for water condensate to drain easily.
600/800/1000 sizes have NPT shell and tube side connections.
1200/1700 sizes have Inlet shell connection combination of ASME/ANSI Inlet and NPT outlet, again rotated 180° from each other. The tube side is NPT.
A typical example for UCV units is steam to liquid heaters.
Note: All UCV models come with Stainless Steel shell material.
The EK Series – the ‘Green’ cooler – is the most efficient heat exchanger offered in the water cooled series. The aluminum finned tube bundle design provides an increased surface area that allows for optimal heat rejection with low water usage. An optional Surge-Cushion® bypass is available for cold start up protection or flow surges. Sea water service options are also available. The low cost, compact design is ideal for general purpose hydraulic power unit installations.
The BPSW Series is rugged, compact and cost-effective, and is reliable over long periods of time with minimal maintenance. Design features of this highly-efficient series include 316 stainless steel construction and standard SAE connections. High plate channel turbulence effectively performs even in close approach temperatures. The compact size is an optimal heat transfer solution for industrial applications where space is limited. A wide offering of full featured standard models is available with short lead times and fast delivery.
The PF Series is a high-performing gasketed plate style heat exchanger. Able to handle large volumetric flows with low temperature drops, the design features large heat exchanging surfaces in a very compact, space-saving frame. The units can be readily expanded or reduced to accommodate changes in performance. This cost effective series is ideal for oil-to-water applications. Titanium plates are available for salt water service.
The B/SB Series is very versatile in its ability to accommodate multiple application requirements. 700 and 1000 sizes feature 3/8” tube option for less pressure drop. ¼” tube offers greater surface area, and multiple baffle spacing options to optimize heat transfer.
The B series is a non-ferrous, Brass construction, which makes it ideal for water to water, including sea water cooling applications.
The SB series is competitively priced steel construction version of the B series, and mainly used for standard hydraulic applications.
The HC Series bare bundle shell & tube style offers the widest variety of options for utilizing multiple cooling water requirements for hydraulic oil or compressed air-cooling applications. It remains the industry standard in ultimate value and long-term reliability. The proven fixed tubesheet design shell and tube heat exchanger offers the cost effectiveness that comes with having a highly standard design, while easily providing for various options to meet specific application requirements. Multiple material options are available as well.
